  • The “TERM” format will be retained for 2012
  • Classes as shown below will run for the whole year.
  • There will be a series of ‘specialist’ classes held throughout the year, depending on interest shown by members.

END OF YEAR CONCERTS

Concert dates –

Saturday 26th November and Thursday 1st December

Concerts commence at 1 pm – cost $5 tickets available from the Duty Office 

Afternoon tea will be available

 

“SENTIMENTAL  JOURNEY”

 

For all those folk who can remember evenings spent around the radio listening to the old favourites such as ——-

Dad & Dave, Search for the Golden Boomerang, Aida & Elsie, Blue Hills, the Amateur Hour & many more, and of course some of the music of that time.

 

We will be doing commercial jingles that we regularly heard and memorised —— Aeroplane Jelly, Vegemite, Brylcream, Sydney Flour etc.

 

We then go to the era of the Juke Box & milk bars, full skirts & flat shoes, Bandstand, Rock & roll, the Twist and a few other things thrown in.

 

Being a Christmas Concert of course we have to finish with a few Christmas Carols

Welcome to April 2011

The club is now settling back down after a very very busy Seniors Week and Election and Fete

To all the members who pitched in to help fantastic job !

Congratulations to all club award recipients, job well done by you and a pat on the back for you

Now we have entered April and things are getting back to normal. All activities are being well attended but we still have more than enough room for new members and any members wishing to try another activity to come along.

We have a new revamped program for the computer group, details are available from the duty office. The new program comes into effect on Wednesday 27th April. Please check now so you don’t miss out on a class you are interested in.

The club would like to take the opportunity to wish all our members a safe and happy Easter to you and your families.

Australia will be celebrating it’s 96th Anzac Day this year Monday 25th April 2011

The club will be closed from Friday 22nd April until Wednesday 27th April 2011

We have a busy March ahead of us.

ALL ACTIVITIES ARE FREE FOR THE WHOLE OF SENIOR’S WEEK, PLEASE COME ALONG AND BRING YOUR FRIENDS TO SEE WHAT ACTIVITIES WE HAVE AVAILABLE

Monday 21st March 1 pm Free Concert presented by our drama group everybody welcome

Tuesday 22nd 6.30 pm Club Awards Night with a Tai Chi Demonstration and music by The Tuggerah Lakes Brass Band

Wednesday 23rd School pupils from the Entrance Primary School will come along for a few hours and take part in all the activities happening in the club, dancing, computers etc

Thursday 24th Special Housebound Luncheon

                    (By invitation only)

Friday 25th Normal activities.

Of great importance to all members our Annual General Meeting to elect office bearers for this year

The AGM will take place on Thursday the 17th of February 2011 at precisely 1 pm

You must make sure your club membership is paid by Monday 31st January to be eligible to vote

At 1 pm all doors to the building will be locked, there will be no exceptions to this rule.

 

It is most important if you are wishing to serve on our club committee you must have your nomination, a resume and photo submitted to the club secretary by Friday 28th January 2011

The applications will be posted on the main notice board for members to view on Tuesday 1st February 2011

Our committee members are expected to dedicate themselves and their time to helping run the club and to assist members when needed and to attend any and all functions and activities as required

Only hard working and dedicated people should apply
