members who have supported and are supporting

our new library….just goes to show how popular it is

in its new location! Not only have book borrowings

and donations markedly increased, our DVD library is

proving a real winner. Thanks also to our Duty

Officers, who handle the DVD borrowings.

Stephanie, our hard-working librarian has everything

running smoothly, but points out that our shelves

just wont hold any more books at the present time,

so hang on to your spare books for the time being!

I’ve been busy cataloguing DVD’s (all donations…so

thanks again!) We now have over 200 available for

loan…..we have had to change the shelving pattern

to fit them all in….this project is still being worked

on. At present I am withdrawing some DVD titles and

adding new ones, so keep an eye on what is

available.

COLD weather? You aren’t stuck
next to the heater and eating all sorts
of high-calorie ‘comfort’ food are you?
Shame on you if you answer “yes” to either of these
questions!! A visit to our club to participate in some NEW
activity is the way to go! If you are a dancer—come along
and try the darts/table-tennis/bowls….you’ll not only get
your blood pulsing through your veins, you’ll be making
new friends. And this goes for all activities—winter is an
ideal time to try something new….get you out of your
rut…keep warm when it’s chilly….make the effort and I bet
you’ll enjoy the difference it makes to your week!
I’ve been practicing what I preach and have been indulging
in some indoor bowling…..I’m enjoying the challenge
of trying to get those blasted bowls to stop where I want
them…. I’ve met some people I’ve never met before…and
it’s got me away from both the heater and the computer!.
